Smart Phones vs. Basic Phones

Yeah, we all live in a frickin fast world, though I'd get an extra second this year it’s not enough. We are moving at a rapid pace towards something indefinite and undefined. To cope up with this pace, we use phones as medium of quick communication and information transfer.
And in these phones there are only three types are people.

The ones with Landline phones or the ones that WERE with landline phones. Though most of these people are dead, these phones are a Legacy.

Then those with Basic Phones, who probably had ecstatic feeling when they had bought it initially.

Oh you know the Third type, the ones with flashy cameras, large screens, data thirsty and proud phones.

Firstly let me define what smart phones and basic phones are in my view point.

Basic phones are the ones which can be said to have a physical keypad, a media player facility, a radio, a memory card slot, a 2G GPRS feature, Bluetooth and may be a very basic camera. I leave it to the reader to imagine every other possible features of these phones

Smart phones are the ones which have a large touch screen, a fancy primary camera, a probable secondary camera, Wi-Fi facility, 3G and 4G, any Smart OS like Windroid, iBerry etc., support for recent and upcoming apps, and many other features which have already popped up in your mind by now.

The Landline phones have become obsolete now, so we give them a parting bye and move on.

So basically everybody owns a Smartphone these days, even my 9 year old cousin. And me? I own a Bar, ummm a bar type phony, sorry phone.

-Accessibility
Maybe 5 years ago it would've been easier to tell the numbers, the number of smartphone users have grown and the general number of Cellphone users have increased too.
So it’s a Draw.

-Utility
You guessed it. Yes, Smartphones do win here. Apart from the usual call and text facility Smartphones have an array of applications that can be very useful. Be it the Thatsapp or the Skyte, they help you contact a very distant person instantly. Smartphones even have applications for monitoring your diet and health. A Phone even has a heartbeat monitor and a Fingerprint reader. Wow right?
Basic phones… Hey they can play music! And Call!
Smart Phones get an upper hand here.

-Usefulness
Smart phones with their large store of apps and games they may seem to be very useful, but in reality they actually deviate us from intended purpose. Instead of sending an Office file to your Boss you might end up sending Dirty jokes to him. The sheer number of applications in the phone are a distraction to us. Nobody can ignore the repeated notifications of your messaging app or your favorite Candy crash Game.
But Basic phones lack this wide range of applications which limit them to the basic functions like calling and texting. But this in itself is a drawback. In comparison to Smartphones ordinary phones are a bit lacking in features but they let you do your work.
It’s a draw again.

-Life and Durability
I give you a single hashtag.
#bendgate
There is an urban Legend that a phone has survived a bullet and saved it user.
The Legend stays.
Basic Phones Win.

-Maintenance
Smart phones are very fragile. They need a Screen guard to protect the ‘Corner Chimpanzee Glass 4’, a Hard Case to protect it from fall damage, a power bank to resupply power often. It’s tedious and you’ve got to handle it like a hot, rich girl friend.  So the maintenance is a major problem in these phones.

Basic Phones are pretty much solid next to metals. I’ve even used these phones to balance my table and I don’t think maintenance would be a major problem.

Yeah, Basic phones.

-Cost
This is
a difficult decision, but Basic phones really do win here.
There are many smart phones with Great features, functions and uses. But it all comes with a large price tag. And For every Drop you make, its life decreases by half. Smart Phones with its Accessories cost more per usage period than a Basic phone.

Though it’s an unfair comparison.
Basic phones rule.

-Technology
No Argument here. Smart phones keeps its users updated with latest OTA updates, thus making it more efficient progressively and more appealing.

Some Basic phones do have upgradable firmware, but it has no appreciable change.
Smart Phones win.

-User Experience and User Friendliness.
Smart phones give us a more visually exclusive experience. Its icons are large and easy to understand, it has various visual and aural clues and cues to help us understand the OS to full extent. Even old people find it easy to comprehend it. They even read our typing and swiping pattern and predict according to it.

Basic Phones with their Small screen are not appealing enough. The physical Keypads, though may be quicker to type, they are clunky and usually too small for human fingers. They tend to wear out.

Smart Phones are the victors.

-Data Consumption.
Smart Phones Live off the internet. Almost all smart phones these days are connected to a ‘cloud’ for data storage and transfer. Their very existence is depended upon the Internet data. Their updates, upgrades, applications are based on the internet. They use up data like rocket. Whoosh!

Basic Phones are not that data hungry. Usually they leave us with the guilt of not using it up to the data limit given. So Basic phones are more diet conscious.
Basic phones Claim it again.

So Scoring off both sides.

Smartphones - 3
Basic phones - 4
Shocking isn’t it?
Well it’s true.

But don’t be an Idiot.  Get a Smartphone. Or be old.

The spray.

' Dear officials please consider this as my note of confession but I don't wish to point out blame anybody. I write this with great regret and sadness, as I sit alone in my home, my wife has left me for another mate. She has even taken my eggs with her, I was not even given a chance to explain my stance and what really happened that day. I have been feeding myself and living alone for the past 60 days.
I feel as if my wings are broken and my senses are list. Even my kids hate me, they even refuse to talk to me and have flown out of our nest. My agony is inexplicable. Someone can be pushed only so much in his life. For all punishments in the world people could have stepped over me, stamped me, smacked me, or even killed me. But they choose the only option that is feared by all. And unfortunately they chose it for me.

what sin did I commit in my previous births to be sprayed by that obnoxious smell?!
a smell so toxic, so disgusting that my family left me for good and alone.
I'm depressed and have no wish to live in this cruel world anymore.

I take leave from this miserable life by drinking this pesticide. The irony.

Are you Human?

Alina knew she saw something there, behind the curtain, a silhouette.
Something passed through Alina. She felt it. She could hear whispers in her ear.
Then she saw something. A moment later. It Disappeared in an instant.
She heard a knock behind and turned to see nothing.
She could feel someone breathing on her neck.
Just inches from her face Alina could see something standing in front of her. it had a head but no face. It was of humanoid form.
There was a flash.
She blinked and it was gone.
Her body was numb and she did not breath.
Suddenly she heard a thudding sound behind her. Like some one was running towards her. Then she heard a voice. Someone hugged her from behind.

"Alinaaaaa!, are you okay?, I heard something crashing and I found you here.", Aruja said in concern
Alina took a big breath.
"We have to leave this place Aru, there is something here, something not human", Alina was trembling now.
"What are you talking about?, What is not human?", she clung to Alina's shoulders.
She was not at all in mood that Alina was.
"Have you been taking those pills again?, they don't seem to be working well on you, you should avoid using them".

"No I swear I saw something with no face. It had no Facial features of any sort. It was just blank." said Alina with her hands still shaking.

"I don't understand, What Facial features?, are you sure really Okay Alina, dear?". Aruja sounded worried.

"I am Fine!, Let us leave this place. Please I beg of you." pleaded Alina.

"Okay Dringo you can come out now. She is really frightened now. The prank has worked is some way",Aruja said with a tone of accomplishment.

"What the Hell?!, now get down off me Aru.", she dug her face in the pillow sobbing.
Aruja climbed down from Alina's shoulders and pulled Dringo from under the bed,"So much for your ghost makeup", she said skeptically.

"I'm sorry Ali, It was just a prank.",Dringo told in his most apologetic tone.

Alina Stood up and froze.
Both Aruja and Dringo had no face. They had no Facial features, no nose no eyes not even a curve.
It was blank.
She turned her head and saw her reflection in the mirror.
Her head was the same as her room mates'.
She had no Face.

There was a scream. But the scream could not be heard by anyone.
The human spirit which had just haunted Aruja was screaming but it was silent all around.
Deafening Silence.

I love the reaction after the realisation dawns.

Don't you wanna erase your face after that?
-Forgetting a joke halfway through.
People love these type of jokes, erm.. jokers.

Speed Thrills with, High petrol bills.

A tear left my right eye horizontally.
Dust was bombarding into my naked face with blistering speed, it almost scraped my face off.
My vision was blurred, reason: a speed above 100 kmph.

I did not know if the brakes were working or if the vehicle behind me would respond quickly if if pull to a sudden stop.
My heart was drumming every time the two wheeler took dangerous overtakes and impossible curves.
I swayed gracefully with the vehicle's turns and twists.

It was as if the time was slowing down and I was outside the Time-space fabric.
The sun was becoming hotter, so was the vehicle's engine. Red hot with Torque.
From the passersby point of view it should've been like another version of lightning, just slightly visible than the original.

I did not bother about the petrol the engine was gulping down or the condition of the road or the rules of the road. The speed was blissful.
I had no idea what would happen if I crash.
But I knew this -Speed is Addicting.
I had no helmet or licence or care for all the world.
The vehicle rarely slowed for the bumps or speed breakers on the road

I was comfortable in my Pillion seat.
The view was Great from behind.

How to be a Perfect Villain Guide for dummies.

Wasn't Joker a great villain in The Dark Knight?
but he was not your perfect Villain. Yes he Had his own Flaws and Mistakes. Face it.

We've all had our own favorite villains, though they change from time to time only very few stay in our hearts and eat it out.
Let us see if they come under these criteria.

Primarily these are your type of villains.
-Psychopaths
-Maniacs
-Man Hunters
-Vengeance Holders
-Situational Murders
-Passionate Killers
-Hobbyists

You decide Which category you fall under.

But all of these villains have a common trait: They are EVIL.

So what defines a Perfect Villain?
-Firstly its his Composure. A villain must never lose his composure, he must lose his cool when something goes wrong or go off guard when his plan worked perfectly. A villain is UNNATURALLY CALM. (yep sathyaraj)
But the is always a 'but'. He can go into berserk mode if he is facing the Hero or another Equal Villain.(Raghuvaran Sir! and Jack Torrance)
-Then He must always act alone even though he has an array of thugs and killers at his disposal. He must have a backup plan for himself even for the best of his plans.(Heya Joh Kerr!)
-If the villain is a 'She' she should have followers such that she need not even talk. They act just with her Body language, and since she is a woman she may use the seduction trick at heroes. (that kill bill woman if anyone knows)
-A Villain always has some trick up his sleeve, even after the last trick. (Khan Noonien Singh, Ra's Al Ghul and many more!)
-They always Make drastic change in plan to his favor of course. (Hans Gruber anyone?)
-He or She has some interesting hobby. ('Monsieur' Calvin Candy and his Mandingos)
-Importantly He/She must use the Weapon of "SARCASM" as often as possible. (Vegeta, and most others!)
-They must always have a backstory which is only as truthful as the forgiveness they're gonna give you. (Keyser Soze!)
-They Must and can kill people with supernatural speed, ease and power and Heartlessly. (Darth Vader)
-The corpses they leave will mentally scar you or even kill you. (John Doe from Se7en and Hannibal Lecter)
-They must always die at the end.(All Villains)
-And Importantly, Somehow return Back with Badass style again. (You know who.)

So do you have it to be the best villain?

~a Word from a married Friend summing up all this: Wife.
p.s. oh and the thing about Joker? it was a joke. :P

Fraction.

"Just throw the bait and wait son, he will come to you", Stein remembered his father’s words from the fishing day festival.
He was slowly able to flex and move, he worked his muscles at full strength and started running at Isaac. He swiftly picked up the sharp piece of glass that was floating and jumped at Isaac, fractions later,
The next time wave hit them.
An hour earlier...
"How did he manage to set it off?!” Stein wracked his brain over and over, he went over every possibility of how it could happen and how Isaac would try to escape its consequences.

He knew there was only one possibility for all this to happen. He must have embedded a quantum Chip to his brain like himself. The Quantum chip enables the user to use the brain normally even when time has slowed or speeded up.
This chip enables brain to become a quantum computer, i.e. work or rather think outside the time-space fabric.
"He must be puzzle how I managed to detonate the CHRONO BOMB.", Isaac mentally appreciated himself for what he had done.
Though it was a suicide mission of stealing Stein's Blueprints for the quantum chip, it was a 99.9% possibility of death remodeling it for himself.
The feeling of realizing that they were the only people who were surviving the Time-Space Disruption caused by the bomb, must have given him goose bumps if the time had not slowed down.

He knew it was mere survival, because he knew he had to make his move before the next wave hit them or else he would be slowed down again quicker since every time the wave hit them, the time or distance between the waves would decrease exponentially thus making it even difficult for them to react when time flows normally.
Stein immediately regretted creating the quantum chip and the "The Literal Time bomb", as they called it at the lab. Stein knew that a radius of 5 miles was caught in the Time-Space disruption.
"The quantum chip is your amulet to make yourself all powerful god and the Time bomb is your super weapon, Stein, pray it doesn't fall into wrong hands", words of Nikol echoed in his mind. she was his Lab partner and Partner in life.

He was previously slowed on his way towards the direction of the bomb by the wave that hit him, but thankfully the quantum chip that is embedded in his brain allowed him to stay outside of the Time-Space Fabric. He had won his Nobel Prize for this discovery.
Time began to return to its normal state slowly.

Isaac was slowly able to see things, he had only one thought "I must get out of this place and as far as possible to escape from the Permanent Time collapse". But of course he knew it was not going to be easy with Stein on his tail. He moved as fast as he could towards his door. He waded through the rubble that was still floating from the time disruption.

Stein ran as fast as he could with all his might, and he spotted him, "Stop right there Isaac! I will eventually catch up to you".

Isaac have a mild laugh and retorted, “Don’t you still realize that I also have my own version of your quantum chip?".
"How did they even give this guy a Nobel Prize?” Isaac rolled his eyes.
"You were never bright in school either Stein".
He raised his gun and shot at Stein, the first one missed him by an inch and the second one slowed down before it could reach Stein's face.
The next wave had hit them. It was sooner that they thought.

If it was not for the disruption he would have had a hole in his head right now. Stein ironically thanked for the time wave that had hit now.

"Damn, I have crappy aim!” thought Isaac to himself.

Stein took in the picture and he knew that bullet would stay there long if he doesn't move next time.
His brain was working rapidly and he was calculating every scenery possible for the next few moments

Isaac was hoping that the bullet would hit him. Time began to unreel slowly, but faster this time.

In a Matrix-Special-effects style movement Stein had thought up a scene of evading the bullet, but he knew it would impede his further movement.
He Slyly Tilted his head and let the bullet slowly accelerate beside him. Now he moved rapidly towards the glass that was floating nearby.

Isaac was bewildered at the speed of Stein's movement. He had to escape.
The next wave had hit them even quicker than before.

The expressions of both Isaac and Stein was of pure shock.
It had dawned upon them that they had only one chance for them to escape or react.
After the next wave, the disruption would reach its saturation and they would be stuck in the time lapse infinitely.

It was beginning to return to normal. Stein forced his body to move opposing the time flow, every bit of his muscle was under strain and was screaming for release. He began moving with a burst of speed at the glass shard, he picked it up, and clutched it strongly. He now directed himself at Isaac who was surprised at his swiftness. With a shout of angst Stein jumped at Isaac "Isaaaaaccc!"
The Glass shard had made an incision on the skin directly above Isaac’s heart. Blood was slowly seeping out.
The Next wave hit them.

Fractions before...

A shot was heard. Tip of the bullet had already entered Stein's chest. The blood splashed and froze. The Next wave hit them

They were stuck in the Time Lapse.
But Fate had other plans. It always has.

Another wave hit them.

Both were surprised. Time began to reverse to the point before the bomb was set off.
Isaac had entered the safe room where the Chrono bomb was kept.
He used the fingerprints he stole from Stein's blueprints to set off the bomb.

The bomb ticked off and a voice played from the bomb, "Do not turn back if you want your face to be unharmed"
Stein landed a punch on his face, instantly breaking Isaac’s nose.
The police that had arrived there apprehended Isaac. "How is this possible?!” cried Isaac, stupefied.
"I love surprises, don't you dear Isaac?” said Stein with a smug.

Little did Isaac know that his version of quantum chip was not guarded against reverse time flow.
Stein had Improved his quantum chip after it was stolen which allowed his brain and memories to stay intact. The bomb was dismantled the pieces were destroyed carefully.

Stein did as his Father had advised him, “Just throw the bait and wait son, he will come to you".
