Smart Phones vs. Basic Phones

 Yeah, we all live in a frickin fast world, though I'd get an extra second this year it’s not enough. We are moving at a rapid pace towards something indefinite and undefined. To cope up with this pace, we use phones as medium of quick communication and information transfer.

And in these phones there are only three types are people.

The ones with Landline phones or the ones that WERE with landline phones. Though most of these people are dead, these phones are a Legacy.

Then those with Basic Phones, who probably had ecstatic feeling when they had bought it initially.

Oh you know the Third type, the ones with flashy cameras, large screens, data thirsty and proud phones.

Firstly let me define what smart phones and basic phones are in my view point.

Basic phones are the ones which can be said to have a physical keypad, a media player facility, a radio, a memory card slot, a 2G GPRS feature, Bluetooth and may be a very basic camera. I leave it to the reader to imagine every other possible features of these phones

Smart phones are the ones which have a large touch screen, a fancy primary camera, a probable secondary camera, Wi-Fi facility, 3G and 4G, any Smart OS like Windroid, iBerry etc., support for recent and upcoming apps, and many other features which have already popped up in your mind by now.

The Landline phones have become obsolete now, so we give them a parting bye and move on.

So basically everybody owns a Smartphone these days, even my 9 year old cousin. And me? I own a Bar, ummm a bar type phony, sorry phone.

-Accessibility

Maybe 5 years ago it would've been easier to tell the numbers, the number of smartphone users have grown and the general number of Cellphone users have increased too.

So it’s a Draw.

-Utility

You guessed it. Yes, Smartphones do win here. Apart from the usual call and text facility Smartphones have an array of applications that can be very useful. Be it the Thatsapp or the Skyte, they help you contact a very distant person instantly. Smartphones even have applications for monitoring your diet and health. A Phone even has a heartbeat monitor and a Fingerprint reader. Wow right?

Basic phones… Hey they can play music! And Call!
Smart Phones get an upper hand here.

-Usefulness

Smart phones with their large store of apps and games they may seem to be very useful, but in reality they actually deviate us from intended purpose. Instead of sending an Office file to your Boss you might end up sending Dirty jokes to him. The sheer number of applications in the phone are a distraction to us. Nobody can ignore the repeated notifications of your messaging app or your favorite Candy crash Game.

But Basic phones lack this wide range of applications which limit them to the basic functions like calling and texting. But this in itself is a drawback. In comparison to Smartphones ordinary phones are a bit lacking in features but they let you do your work.
It’s a draw again.

-Maintenance

Smart phones are very fragile. They need a Screen guard to protect the ‘Corner Chimpanzee Glass 4’, a Hard Case to protect it from fall damage, a power bank to resupply power often. It’s tedious and you’ve got to handle it like a hot, rich girl friend.  So the maintenance is a major problem in these phones.

Basic Phones are pretty much solid next to metals. I’ve even used these phones to balance my table and I don’t think maintenance would be a major problem.

Yeah, Basic phones.

-Cost
This is a difficult decision, but Basic phones really do win here.
There are many smart phones with Great features, functions and uses. But it all comes with a large price tag. And For every Drop you make, its life decreases by half. Smart Phones with its Accessories cost more per usage period than a Basic phone.

Though it’s an unfair comparison.

Basic phones rule.

-Technology

No Argument here. Smart phones keeps its users updated with latest OTA updates, thus making it more efficient progressively and more appealing.

Some Basic phones do have upgradable firmware, but it has no appreciable change.

Smart Phones win.

-User Experience and User Friendliness.
Smart phones give us a more visually exclusive experience. Its icons are large and easy to understand, it has various visual and aural clues and cues to help us understand the OS to full extent. Even old people find it easy to comprehend it. They even read our typing and swiping pattern and predict according to it.

Basic Phones with their Small screen are not appealing enough. The physical Keypads, though may be quicker to type, they are clunky and usually too small for human fingers. They tend to wear out.

Smart Phones are the victors.

-Data Consumption.
Smart Phones Live off the internet. Almost all smart phones these days are connected to a ‘cloud’ for data storage and transfer. Their very existence is depended upon the Internet data. Their updates, upgrades, applications are based on the internet. They use up data like rocket. Whoosh!

Basic Phones are not that data hungry. Usually they leave us with the guilt of not using it up to the data limit given. So Basic phones are more diet conscious.

The Twinst-3

"How did you find me?! HOW?! Where is my brother?” the screeching voice made nobody shudder. "What mistake did I do? don't let me die here, please...", Yo didn't even flinch at the questions and requests thrown, and started walking towards the door.

Yin came running and hugged Yo. Yang hugged too, unaware why it happened.
"I'm sure you know we have lot of questions for you, Yo, especially me. But I’m sure you have a story, right? You always have."
Yo began narrating the other side of the story, but the phone chimed in before they could hear it all.

Yo Came back and blurted "Mom is alive."
Yin was staring at Yo, "Wha... What do you mean?"
"Yes I saved her that day, I was there shortly after they were beat up"

Yin gave a Yo a hard slap and hugged with tears in her eyes.
"I had left home when I saw someone in out barn carrying a dead goat and set out to investigate it. It was a short person with a raincoat over him, I followed the short shadowy figure and it was Dunky."
Yin Gasped.
"Yes, it was him, that stinky sonovabitch did this to our limbo and other animals"

I was hit struck from behind before I could do anything to him. I heard a woman's voice and knew instantly who it was"

Yin mouthed, "that bitch".

"I found myself bound to a bed when I woke up and had a sack over my face. I did not know how many days had past, my body felt weak and I was Hungry.
After hours of struggle I managed to get myself untied. And came back home to see mom and dad hanging upside down. They were unconscious and alive."

"I've seen you stitch me up when I had a cut in my arm, I followed the same route and stitched up all the incisions of mom and dad-"

"But the Biopsy read they were dead, how could that happen?" questioned Yin.

"Because it was not the results of a biopsy, it was what I made HER to write, you know we can make people dance when we have a leverage over them.” Yo beamed. "I was the one who administered them, styptics to stop the blood flow, but I was not able to save dad. He was already dead before all this could happen, He had had a cardiac arrest even before he was beaten up or tortured. I swapped a body double with Mom's"

"Mom is now in the safest place-".
"Where?!” Yin was Quick to ask.
"You'll know soon, It was Mom a while back on phone."
Yin had thousand questions, but Yo had left without talking a word more.

Her mind reflected how she had used Yang's sleepwalking disorder to take revenge. To exact blood for the massacre of her pets.
The day she found her dog's beheaded carcass, there was a note which read "Meet me at the park today, at 5. Or else hear your wife scream." Yin had screamed so loud at the note that her parents came running.
The note was hand written and she instantly knew who it was. When she had questioned her dad, who vehemently refused to talk anything about the matter and pleaded not to tell anyone about the note.

She took the matter into her own hands, she went straight to her house and confronted about the note, to which at first she denied it was her.

 But the bitch had not forgotten what happened to her Father in the mill.
*Mr.DeCruz was trapped inside mill which was on fire. Yang's father was stuck between saving Yo and old man DeCruz. Yang's Father Obviously Chose Yo.

That had Ignited a flame inside the DeCruzs, She and her brother had been waiting for a chance to kill them all.*

Yin had used her twin brother's somnambulism, a sleep-walking condition he had had from his childhood, to kill the barn animals like she did to her family.

But her mind had one thought, "Is Heilen DeCruz alive? Or had Yo killed her?"

5 Blocks away in a White English house a Woman was tied to pole in the basement.
She was crying asking for her brother.

*Heilen had never left the city, she had laid out the plan so perfectly that she had booked tickets to her flight to India and made someone else travel in that ticket.
She hit Yang at the back of his head to divert the con-joined twins before she could finish her job at the Juh's household. But she never Expected Yo to show up there. Always a nosy kid.
She barely escaped him before she was.

She never thought that her infiltration into Juh's family and becoming their God-parent would become useless. The Triplets Never liked her anyway, it was only Chen that was compassionate to her, maybe because he was not able to save her father. But she never forgot that day.

She wondered How Yo had escaped from her house and how was he alive after that heavy dosage of poison she had given.

She never anticipated Yo in her house and threatened her to make a Fake Autopsy report.
Her knowledge as a Doctor Allowed her to write that up.
Yo had somehow switched Wu’s body with someone else*

Yin Called up Yo, "Where is mom?"
"She is at Heilen's, Come here."

Yang and Yin Literally ran.
Their Mother was sleeping peacefully but had painful cuts and bruises all over her.

Yang asked as if he understood something, "Where is Dunky, Yo?"
Yin added, "She probably killed him. Where is he actually? "
"Oh, Dunky? After I untied myself, I beat up Dunky and tied him like I was." said Yo with a wicked smile on her Pretty Face.

Actors with real life objects and events.

Firstly this is my opinion, so hate all you want.

Aatharva- A new item in Market. Need more Products to know its real quality.

Bharath- He is like a pencil, we don't love the pencil or hate it even. But we use from time to time. Sometimes just to scribble gibberish and sometimes to draw beautiful diagrams. Unused.

Simbu- He is like a bitter gourd. Most of the times its bad and we hate it but at times when the cook or maker is good, we get delicious dishes. Though it’s mostly bad dishes.

Siva Karthikeyan- We can compare him to Maggi. Maggi is good, though not that good. We love Maggi but there are lots of dishes that we can prefer than Maggi. Okay Enough.

Vishal: Now this is a Pen drive. Very useful and Very handy, but due to its users it gets all kind of virus, malware etc. etc. Totally used based.

Arya- Arya is a Fountain pen. Filled with stuff that is messy, but when implemented properly can be used to make a great impression. Inky.

Karthi- I would compare Him to a 2G network. Very bad and very good. Need more Signal to work well. Satisfying though.

Vijay Sethupathi- He is a Very famous android app. Very good to use. Very user friendly and easy to use. But few glitches and bugs. Will be straightened over time.

Dhanush- Dhanush is a Good dress set. He can be a Tuxedo, a jeans and T-shirt, a Formal set and even lungi and inner vest. But very useful for the appropriate place. Though sometimes get worn at inappropriate places. Contextual use needed.

Surya- Surya is your phone. You love your phone, you wouldn't want it to go. It works hard for you, and makes your life a bit happier. But sometimes goes slow or hangs at times. Probably due to overuse. Handle with care.

Vijay- Vijay is your Bike. Stylish with usefulness. But Petrol and maintenance takes its toll. All your friends have different opinions on it but everyone likes it. Ride on.

Ajith- Ajith is Wikipedia. Came up on its own. Loved by everyone hated by few (though silently praised). Simple and pleasant to use. No comments.

Vikram- Your computer. Has been devoting its life to you. Lives for your good. Can be made to do anything with its power. Sometimes works over its capacity. Though its occasional flaws don't matter. Should be favorite.

Kamal Hassan- The only person who can be compared to two objects. First to a really well written book. You don't get what the book says in the first read. But every time you read you'll explore a new world. And next to a Rubik cube. Fun to play with though tough to understand and learn at the beginning. Once learned. Every time you solve is a challenge.

Rajinikanth- Now he is nothing but Diwali. Diwali is fun every year constantly. You wait for Diwali from months before and relish it when it comes. Though there might be some crackers that don't burst. It is always a hell load of fun. Only thing sad about it is it comes once in a year. Fun and Frolic Guaranteed.
